For any K-pop fans attending this much-anticipated Riyadh Season, there's a new reason to get excited! It's been announced that renowned K-pop acts will be featured on January 14, 2022, with ticket sales commencing on November 25 via Riyadh Season's official website. K-pop was part of Riyadh Season's international acts in 2019, leaving attendees wondering if we'd be seeing more this year. Rumors were soon put to rest when the Chairman of the Kingdom's General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al Alshikh, tweeted a promo image featuring the K-pop boy band, Stray Boys, along with an expected date for their acts.

Stray Boys is currently one of South Korea's most popular bands of the fourth generation. It was formed in 2017 by JYP Entertainment through a reality show of the same name. The band consists of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.

Stray Boys left its mark with its pre-debut extended play (EP) "Mixtape" on January 2018, followed by its second EP "I Am Not" on March of that same year. The band officially debuted with "Go Live" in 2020, with its second album, "Noeasy," selling over 1.2 million copies. Undoubtedly, it's easy to understand how popular Stray Boys had become, both in South Korea and globally, as they nabbed a total of 30 awards across Asia.

Of course, Stray Boys won't be the only South Korean act at Riyadh Season as K-pop fans will also get the chance to see solo singer, Chungha. K-pop acts are currently among the 7,500 events at this year's edition of Riyadh Season, with the festival proven to be quite successful for the Saudi capital. In fact, Turki Al Alshikh stated via Twitter that "the events have attracted three million visitors in only one month." Riyadh Season is set to run till March 2022.
