Mahira Abdelaziz has debuted her family collection edit with Next Online. Just in time for the festive season, the edit by the Emirati TV anchor and actress is packed with a wide selection of glamorous occasion wear for women and girls. However, Abdelaziz’s handpicked edit, Next’s first co-curated fashion series for the Middle East, is also teeming with casual winter pieces, accessories and cute mix and match looks.
There’s a total of 127 pieces in all kinds of sizes, with Abdelaziz, who is also a producer, social media personality and humanitarian, describing her style as ‘chic, vibrant and unique.’ With cute and stylish mini-me looks, the campaign naturally features Abdelaziz’s adorable five-year-old daughter Yasma. And in the gorgeous mummy-daughter photo shoot, the ambitious star who worked her way up in the entertainment world and Yasma share their favourite pieces from the edit. They style a look for every occasion, from winter pieces that are perfect for hanging out in at home to getting party-ready together. Yasma can be seen channeling princess-style in beautiful bow-tied flounce dresses, as well as the far more casual looks, Meanwhile Abdelaziz, who appeared in her first dramatic role on UAE-made Netflix tech thriller “The Platform,” opts for sweater dresses and biker boots to suit the mild Middle Eastern winter.
“I absolutely love this sweater dress and khaki boot look, it’s seasonal, a little different and it works perfectly for fun family days out. I love Next for the way you can dress a look up or down to suit the occasion,” says Abdelaziz, who was a part of the award-winning women’s talk show, “Kalam Nawaem,” the most watched morning show in the Arab world for five consecutive years.
The edit, which Abdelaziz says was selected with the duo’s style in mind, also features jumpsuits and midi dresses, just the right picks for going out. Fashionistas will also love the seasonal favourite sparkly skirts and satin blouses, which come with a pop of colour. Additionally, there are tasteful tunic dresses and simple knitwear pieces that will make stepping out in style effortless.
“For anyone that knows me well, they’ll know that I love colour and prints, but I also can’t fault blacks and browns during winter. My edit is a real mix. Feeling comfortable is more important to me than wearing the latest trend, sometimes a long black fitting dress or a simple jumpsuit is when I feel most stylish. I love to add accessories to add the festive touch, so check out my accessory selection too!” the multi-talented Abdelaziz, who even has an MA in Architecture from Canada, says.
