Aside from the new working week, there won’t be any public holidays in the UAE until the end of Ramadan 2022. The holy month’s dates were actually announced back in 2020 under the direction of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
With the next public holidays to fall on Eid Al-Fitr, the exact date for the beginning of Ramadan is yet to be announced closer to the date according to the sighting of the moon. That being said, the date of Ramadan 2022 has been predicted by Ibrahim Al Jarwan, member of the Arab Federation of Space and Astronomy Sciences, who stated that it is to fall on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Al Jarwan also predicted that the Eid holidays may begin on Monday, May 2, 2022.
After Eid Al Fitr, it has been stated that Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha will be the next long public holidays, and depending on moon sightings, July 8th and 9th could be days off, but fall on a Saturday which is the new weekend.
Lastly, one of the most celebrated dates on the UAE’s calendar which mark the country’s Commemoration Day and National Day, which fall on the 1st and 2nd of December are marked as long weekends.
