E.L.V. Denim is the brainchild of Anna Foster and is a zero-waste label both designed and produced with sustainability at its core. Very London chic, the brand is renowned for its iconic contrasting denim jeans and jackets made with upcycled denim and assembled within a 5-mile radius in East London.
With a mission to take unwanted materials and upcycle them into highly coveted fashion pieces, E.L.V. Denim takes redundant denim and turns it into newer, more modern styles. Unlike traditional designers, who create a piece and then find the material, E.L.V. Denim finds the perfect material first, then deciphers what design can be made from it.
So how does the brand manage to do all that whilst creating a consistent collection? Well, the upcycled denim is sourced from warehouses around the U.K. where each pair is handpicked. The jeans are then brought down to London and washed by a local launderette and dropped off to the E.L.V. Denim studio in an electric car. The jeans are sorted, paired, debranded and delivered to the Blackhorse Lane Atelier where the garments are produced. All parts of the jeans are either used to make new products, given to local artist Ian Berry or donated to art schools around the U.K for sustainability projects.
Being a seasonless brand, Founder and Creative Director, Anna Foster favors new design developments over creating whole new collections. This was first explored in December 2020 with the creation of denim jumpsuits, the brand’s first foray into design outside of jeans and jackets. Since then, developments have seen the introduction of made-to-order designs, bespoke jumpsuits and menswear. Whats more is that the label is size inclusive as shown in their campaign imagery, making every one of us regardless of size or shape feel seen. We want it!
Where do we get it in the Middle East?
