Dubai is a pioneer when it comes to tech and entertainment, and has hosted a number of successful hologram concerts in the past. Following the success of these concerts, Dubai is launching a new series of hologram shows which will take place twice a week at the world’s first ever Dubai Hologram Universe.
This new concept has been created in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and New Dimension Productions (NDP) and is situated in the Al Habtoor City Theatre, which is where the much-loved stage show La Perle is performed. The Dubai Hologram Universe will begin hosting state-of-the-art hologram concerts from 30th January 2022.
The hologram concerts taking place in Dubai have bought legendary Arabic icons including Abdel Halim Hafez, Umm Kulthum, Warda Al-Jazairia, as well as American favourite, Frank Sinatra, back to life.
Abdel Halim Hafez’s concert, Sawwah, will be the first in the series of concerts which will feature some of the legendary Egyptian singer’s most romantic ballads along with a number of live musicians and performers. Hafez died at the age of 47 in 1977.
