Whether we’re getting married, are married, or just love a good old show about wedding dresses, you’ll be excited to hear that Say Yes To The Dress Arabia will be airing on Starzplay in the Middle East soon!
Hitting our screens on 11th February 2022, the Arab program, will be the 25th spin-off of the popular US series. Viewers will see 20 brides-to-be from a variety of cultural backgrounds, aged between 23 – 50, in search for their dream dress, over nine episodes.
Say Yes To The Dress Arabia is hosted by Lebanese celebrity stylist Khalil Zein, who has dressed stars from across the Middle Eastern region including Haifa Wehbe, Rahma Riad, Nancy Ajram, Maya Diab and Nadine Nassib Njeim. Shot in Dubai at Hazar Haute Couture, the bridal boutique offers up a range of gowns and dresses priced from $615 to $14,000.
In a virtual announcement about the upcoming TV show hosted on Wednesday 26th January 2022, a sneak peek of some of the brides was teased. The trailer featured Sabrin, a part-Saudi bride who is shopping for her dress with her family, Amy Fox, a Dubai based fitness blogger, Egyptian beauty influencer and vitiligo advocate Logina Salah, and Iraqi-Polish radio presenter Eve Jaso.
Sharing some of their favourite highlights from Say Yes To The Dress Arabia, Jaso and Fox shared statements. Amy Fox said, “It’s definitely putting the dress that I chose on and just feeling like I can be myself in this dress. It just fitted my whole personality, my whole vibe. I didn’t feel restricted. I felt like I could move . . . It was just the best moment.”
While Jaso shared how emotional the process was for her, as she said, “You think that being on a TV show, there is not going to be emotion, there is not going to be feelings, but I walked away from that show feeling like everyone was just crying. It was a shock.”
Stylist Khalil Zein also expressed his appreciation at being a part of a new show for the region, stating, “As everyone knows, your wedding day is one of the most monumental days of your life. So being able to take part in making sure the brides feel their best on their big day really means a lot to me.”
Say Yes To The Dress Arabia will air on Starzplay on February 11th 2022.
