Al Maraya Concert Hall in AlUla, Saudi Arabia is getting ready to host the highly anticipated Alicia Keys "One Night Only" show, which is set for February 11. This will be the second time that the Grammy Award-winning artist will be visiting the region but, this time, we should expect live performances and even town hall discussions.
Keys expressed her enjoyment in performing her One Night Only shows across the globe in what she described as “special once-in-a-lifetime locations.,” explaining how excited she was to have AlUla added to places she has performed. The show will be held next to AlUla's picturesque desert landscape, and Al Maraya Concert Hall itself is just as majestic. Built with 9,740 square meters of mirrored glass, it is the current Guinness World Record holder for the largest mirror building globally.
"There is no denying the beauty and enchantment of AlUla, I have always been an explorer and I adore discovering ancient places and what has been left behind of times long gone. But, there is something more. […] I feel the future emerging in a way I was never aware of before. And as an artist, I feel a sense of belonging and connection – with nature, with humanity, with the magic of this special place," Keys said about the region in an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia.
In addition to her performance, Keys will be co-hosting discussions entitled "Women to Women." This will be centered around female empowerment initiatives being implemented across the Kingdom, set to take place on February 12. Keys will be joined with other women, including Her Highness Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's first female ambassador to the United States.
