It has been announced by Expo 2020 Dubai that Coldplay will be doing a live performance at the Expo site’s Al Wasl Plaza on 15th February at 9pm. The band, infamous for their hits including Yellow, Viva La Vida, Fix You, and their highly regarded lead vocalist, Chris Martin, will be performing at an Infinite Nights concert at the expo, after artists such as Alicia Keys and Black Eyed Peas have performed there over the last few months.
You don’t need to purchase a ticket for this concert, but you will need a valid Expo 2020 ticket and must pre-register before February 12th in order to be able to attend the concert as entry is limited!
Expo 2020 Dubai made the announcement via their official Instagram page on 9th February, with a video of Coldplay performing under the Al Wasl dome, against an outer space like background, as they perform one of their hits, “Coloratura.” Coldplay’s initiatives and their concern for and commitment to saving the environment falls in line with Expo 2020’s sub theme of sustainability. In a released statement about their forthcoming performance, the band said, “As a band, we always try to put togetherness and sustainability at the heart of everything we do. It’s an honor to be invited to perform at Expo 2020 Dubai Infinite Nights for a special celebration of these two themes.”
For one night only, @AliciaKeys will be performing next to AlUla's picturesque desert landscape. She's also co-hosting "Women to Women" discussions in Saudi Arabia featuring leaders like HRH Ambassador @RBAlSaud.https://t.co/sCb5lUDqsX

UAE Minister for International Cooperation and Director General, Expo 2020 Dubai, HE Reem Al Hashimy, also added, “I warmly welcome Coldplay’s mission to drive awareness and action and to show how we all have the power to make a difference. This is true whether as a government, a business or as an individual and in the 11 million visitors who have experienced Expo 2020 so far, we have witnessed a collective desire to drive towards a cleaner, safer and healthier world for all.”
