Tommy Hilfiger is helping fashion lovers celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with the launch of a spring 2022 capsule collection. “The Oasis,” the American brand’s sixth collection dedicated to Ramadan, is a special limited-edition capsule for women and girls.
Setting a sophisticated tone, “The Oasis” collection marries Tommy Hilfiger’s heritage DNA with elevated, modern designs. The collection features a pastel colour palette of whimsy pink, breezy blue and ivory with gold accents, and while head-turning and elegant, the modest styles for women ensure comfort. The silhouettes include an elegant kaftan and maxi dress, as well as a wrap poplin dress and jumpsuit. Meanwhile, the girls’ “Mini-Me” range features three dresses, with a whimsical pink maxi dress, a chintz poplin one with crest embroidery and a gold stripe dress that has a playful, youthful spirit.
The Campaign
Tommy Hilfiger has also come up with a dedicated campaign showcasing local talent for the collection. The models are shown dipping their feet in the UAE’s Al Qudra Lakes, the perfect backdrop to the capsule’s soft pastel palette. The models’ images are mirrored in the calm waters, symbolising the importance of water and reflection. Completing the homegrown theme, the campaign was shot by Dubai-based photographer Fouad Tadros. The reputable Lebanese fashion photographer, who was born and raised in Beirut, has rediscovered his passion for visual art and conceptualisation. Additionally, Dubai resident Kalid Hasan has served as the videographer. The Palestinian filmmaker and creative director’s work embodies the artistic movement of romanticism and its ability to express imagination and human emotion. His career background in Psychology manifests itself through the creation of his editorial work.
The campaign will appear in selected Tommy Hilfiger stores in the GCC, alongside bespoke interior décor and window displays.
As well as being available online in Europe and GCC countries at tommy.com, the collection will be in select stores in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain starting March 2022.
