Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia's National Museum invited the American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (AmChamKSA) on a "Night at the National Museum" guided tour. Over 100 visitors were treated to a night of Saudi arts, culture, and hospitality, and they also got to experience Saudi tradition, from the food to musical performances. They were escorted by an English-speaking tour guide, Ali Al-Hammad, who took AmChamKSA guests through various historical art and cultural exhibits.
As part of King Abdulaziz Historical Center, the National Museum is one of the best venues to explore Saudi history and heritage stretching millennia. These include prehistoric times to recent Arab and Saudi heritages, with replicas of residences from different regions of the kingdom. On the night the guided tour took place, the museum reported one of its busiest days thus far, a visit some described as unforgettable.
"This is one of those things that everyone is going to remember and my favorite part is Al-Kiswa; you come here and you see Al-Kabba’s coverage. I am really looking forward to seeing what is next to come; I heard that the museums of cultures, art and heritage are expanding in the Kingdom so I am thankful to be here," Tarik Solomon, chairman of AmChamKSA, told Arab News.
Todd Albert Nims, chairman of the chamber's arts, culture, and entertainment (ACE) committee, also gave his thanks to the National Museum for hosting AmChamKSA. Laila Alfaddagh, director of the National Museum, stated that the museum is always looking to welcome visitors on a cultural exchange with the Kingdom's historical and cultural heritage.
The American Chamber of Commerce is an organization providing American companies a platform to connect, grow, and prosper in the Kingdom. It is currently headquartered in Riyadh with active presence in Jeddah and the Eastern Province.
