And Just Like That… Is Getting A Second Season

HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” revival show, “And Just Like That…” is getting a second season after having been a hit with audiences all over the world. The show sparked some controversy over particular topics, but also haphazardly bought the characters of Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Miranda, played by Cynthia Nixon and Charlotte, played by Kristin Davis, into 2022 – minus Samantha, who was played by Kim Cattrall.

The women who once played 30-something year olds, living their best lives in New York City and had wardrobes to die for, are now in their late 50’s and early 60’s and still as stylish as ever face a new slew of relationship and life issues in “And Just Like That…”

In a statement about the show coming back for a second season, executive producer, Michael Patrick King said, “I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters—played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we’re thrilled. And Just Like That…our life is back.”

“And Just Like That…” saw a host of new (and old) characters added to the previous SATC cast, and it is yet to be confirmed who will be returning for the second helping, but we can definitely expect appearances from the likes of Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, Sarita Choughry and Sara Ramirez – just to name a few!

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, added, “We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much. We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for Season 2!”

In the season finale of the first season, we saw each of the main characters embrace a new beginning – with audiences thinking – ‘that’s it, these are the happily ever afters!’. So we are very surprised and excited for the show to make a comeback…
