Assistant speaker to the Shoura Council in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Hanan Al Ahmadi has just won the prestigious International Award for Exceptional Achievement from Tulane University in the United States of America. She was presented with the award at the 48th award ceremony of the university.
This particular achievement is awarded to university graduates who represent the highest standards of excellence and happen to shine brightest in professional fields and community service at both local and international levels. After receiving the award, Dr. Hanan said in her acceptance speech, “that the foreign scholarship program is one of the pillars of the education strategy of Saudi Arabia, as the program contributes to acquiring knowledge from distinguished institutions around the world.” She also acknowledged the 50,000+ Saudi scholarship students who are achieving their goals and obtaining their degrees in American universities.
Dr. Hanan also praised the launch of the Strategy of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who is also chairman of the Human Capability Development Program Committee. She also highlighted the changes that the kingdom has gone through over the last few years. Referencing Vision 2030, she said the post oil economy plan serves as “an engine for change at the social, cultural and economic levels, and has contributed to empowering women in society and enhancing their participation in various fields.” She added, “All this is due to the great investment in women’s education in the Kingdom.”

Dr. Hanan also thanked the Board of Directors of Tulane University for selecting her for the award and congratulated the other students who received the university’s awards for this year in various categories. She dedicated her win to “the great support and keenness enjoyed by Saudi women from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince.”
Dr Al Ahmadi also added, “This enabled me to reach leadership positions through which I was able to become a participant in decision-making and an active player in advancing development, and scoring many scientific, economic and social achievements.”
