Next week, Saudi Arabia will be hosting Gamers8, an e-sports and gaming event that will also feature a lineup of some of the world’s most popular musical acts.
Set to take begin on 14th July 2022 in Riyadh, the festival organizers have announced weekly concerts starring some major names. The festival will open with a performances from the likes of J Balvin and Amr Diab, as well DJs Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia and Salvatore Ganacci.
Both international and regional acts are expected to be gracing the stage at Boulevard Riyadh to perform their hits and the genres include, Arabic pop, electro, dance and hip hop. Other exciting artists in the lineup include, Swedish DJ Axwell, Emirati-Yemeni singer Balqees, and Egypt’s Mohamed Hamaki, while the event will also feature a solo performance by rapper Lil Pump on July 28th, another by Moroccan DJ and producer R3hab on August 4th and rapper Russ along with DJ Alan Walker and Egyptian electronic act, Disco Masr on August 18th 2022. DJ snake and the Black Eyed Peas will also return to the kingdom to perform at the exciting new festival on August 25th following their appearances at Expo 2020 in Dubai and the Saudi F1 Grand Prix in Jeddah earlier this year.
Nancy Ajram and American music producer and DJ, Marshmello, will also be performing separate sets at Gamers8, but in a new announcement, both artists took to social media to announce that they are indeed collaborating on some new music! Marshmello had shared a sneak preview of himself playing a regional instrument, the qanun, and captioned the video “Sah Sah,” and Ajram too shared an image of herself with him in a studio, and also captioned it the same.
“Sah Sah,” translates to “true true,” and is set to be her next release.
Tickets for all of the concerts are now available for purchase on the official Gamers8 website. The festival will run until 8th September 2022.
