Raba'a Abdulaziz Al Othaim is a Saudi Arabian architect, and founder of a family firm, Four Architects (4A). She is renowned for working with a team of talented architects and partners across the region, as well as having previously worked for international firms in London and Shanghai.
Al Othaim holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture from Effat University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and a master's degree in Integrated Architecture Project from European University of Madrid (UEM) in Spain. After completing her higher education at Effat University, she pursued a career in Saudi Arabia, in addition to working for firms in the UK and China, such as for 7AM Design in Jeddah and TJAD in Shanghai.
Prior to launching 4A, Al Othaim would go on to become member of the Saudi Council of Engineers in March 2013, and board member at her family-fun company, Abdulaziz Al Othaim & Sons Holding Company (ASO&SONS), in August that same year. In March 2018, 4A was launched as a subsidiary of ASO&SONS, focusing on architecture, interior design, landscape, urban planning, civil, structure, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).
Through 4A, Al Othaim has set an example of female empowerment in Saudi Arabia, following the goals set by the Kingdom's Vision 2030 program. In fact, she has left an impact across the residential, commercial, hospitality, and health sectors in Saudi Arabia, in addition to establishing associations with partners across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Lebanon, Jordan, and France.
