Istituto Marangoni, one of the leading fashion and design schools in the world, was visited by Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of Culture and Youth and Chairperson of the UAE National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
Her Excellency was accompanied by a delegation from the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth that accompanied her during the four-day official trip to Milan.
Mrs. Stefania Valenti, Istituto Marangoni Managing Director, welcomed the delegation and set forth discussions for future collaborations with the Ministry to support UAE creative and entrepreneurial development in the fields of Fashion, Art and Design.
“It was an honour for Istituto Marangoni to welcome Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi and her delegation, and to appreciate the mutual exchange of best practices within the education field of the creative arts, while introducing Istituto Marangoni students’ amazing projects, innovative teaching methodologies and the new Metaverse project just launched by the School.” said Valenti.
During the visit H.E. Noura bint Mohammed al Kaabi reiterated, “The Ministry of Culture and Youths supports Istituto Marangoni which will open in Dubai in September, welcoming the opportunities the school will offer to graduate students in the fashion, art and design fields.”
Her Excellency welcomed further collaboration with the Institute, by potentially offering internship and fellowship programs in Milan, London and other cities of interest, in addition to working together to expand the Institute presence and offerings across the United Arab Emirates and other academic institutions.
Istituto Marangoni will open its doors in Dubai International Financial District in September and it will be the first International Fashion & Design School to open in the UAE. With established schools in Milan, Florence, Paris, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Miami, the Dubai Campus will be the 10th school of Istituto Marangoni’s network.
Istituto Marangoni has been educating internationally-recognised and award-winning fashion and design stars for decades and from September it will train and inspire the next generation of professionals in the Middle East fashion, design and creative industry.
