On Wednesday, Jordan announced the engagement of the country’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah to Saudi national Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif.
Pictures of the engagement were posted on the official Twitter account of the Royal Hashemite Court of Jordan, while other photos of the engagement have been uploaded on Queen Rania of Jordan’s Instagram page. She states in her caption, "I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa"
The engagement took place at Al Saif's father's home in Riyadh. The event was attended by Rajwa's and Prince Hussein's relatives, including King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. The guests included several members of the Jordanian royal family, including Prince Hassan bin Talal, Prince Hashem bin Abdullah, Prince Ali bin Hussein, Prince Hashim bin Hussein, Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, and Prince Rashid bin Hassan, along with members of Al-Saif’s family.
As announced by the Saudi Press Agency early Thursday morning, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made calls to Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah. The Saudi crown prince extended congratulations on the engagement and wished the newly engaged couple success in their marriage and a happy life together.
According to Royal News, Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saif and Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Sudairi welcomed their daughter Rajwa on April 28, 1994, in Riyadh. According to press reports, she went to high school in Saudi Arabia before attending Syracuse University's College of Architecture in New York.
Princess Iman bint Abdullah of Jordan had previously declared her engagement to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis in July.
