New York Fashion Week’s main aim might be to present new trends for the next season, but it’s also one of the most exciting weeks on the social calendar. Whether it’s the stars, models, socialites or bloggers, there’s a lot of clinking glasses and hobnobbing at the exclusive after-parties. And needless to say (we are talking about the fashion industry after all) a lot of looking out for who is wearing what.
So it was an opportune time for the people behind Net-A-Porter, one of the most renowned companies selling luxury fashion online, to host an event themselves. After deciding the ‘Fashion Family Dinner,’ theme was the best way for the company to celebrate New York Fashion Week, they made sure to invite the crème de la crème of the fashion world. Guests like Carolyn Murphy, Tory Burch, Pierre-Yves Roussel (CEO of LVMH) and Adam Lippes enjoyed cocktails and classic Italian cuisine, served family style on the second day of NYFW. Other guests attending the event at the city’s Locanda Verde, a casaual Italian tavern, included Dutch model Imaan Hammam, who has Egyptian/Moroccan roots, and Ana Khouri, the New York based Brazil- born jeweller.
