By the end of this year, Riyadh will have 14 new international gastronomy concepts of which will include 5 Michelin star restaurants. The Saudi capital is no stranger in fine dining cuisine, as it has always been the hub for restaurants that never cease to amaze, whether with service experience, food, and design.
Chairman of the Yakoon Board of Directors, Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan announce the latter news as part of an initiative the leading hospitality company is planning. The restaurants are set to have their grand opening in December.
One of the concepts will include Sass café, which is one of the most exceptional venues in Monaco for dining. La Cantine du Faubourg is also on the list, and for those who don’t know, the restaurant is a French fine dining concept that was established over 10 years ago on Rue du Faubourg in Paris. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is also gracing Riyadh with its presence, and of course with the culinary learnings and influences of the iconic late chef Joël Robuchon.
The restaurants will be located in the distinguished areas around Riyadh such as The Boulevard, King Abdullah Financial District, and Al-Bujairi in Diriyah.
This initiative comes as part of upholding and furthering the aims of Saudi Vision 2030 of making Saudi Arabia an international hub for tourism in all its aspects, specifically focusing on the food and beverage industry in this case. The country has already been powering through that path with a thriving entertainment sector that offers everything both tourists and locals would want, whether it’s casual dining, food trucks, variety of cuisine, and fine dining with culinary specialties.
Prince Saud reports to local new outlet about also focusing on the service design and experiential aspect of the restaurants’ launch as well. He states, “We aim to create an exceptional experience in the tourist’s journey or the experience of the citizen and resident in the food sector in the Kingdom, and bringing international restaurants to Riyadh and other cities of the Kingdom will contribute to enhancing the region’s touristic position.”
With all these amazing restaurants brand coming, we can already safely say that we’re very excited for December.
