Some of the biggest names in international music including US Palestinian record producer DJ Khaled, “Uptown Funk” hitmaker Bruno Mars and rapper Post Malone are set to perform at Riyadh’s SOUNDSTORM – noted as the largest music festival in the MENA region. Being hosted in Banban, the epic music event will run from 1st – 3rd December 2022, and previous performers such as record producers David Guetta, DJ Snake and Carl Cox are returning once more to perform to their Middle Eastern fans following their appearances in the region in 2021.
These top music stars will also be joined by DJs Marshmello, Solomun and Wizkid, as well as local talens including Saudi female DJs, Biirdperson, DJ Cosmicat, Dorar, Kayan and Solskin alongside their peers Dish Dash, Vinylmode and regional star DJ Aseel, with more acts expected to be announced soon.
Talal Albahiti, Chief Operating Officer and head of talent booking at MDLBEAST said in a released statement, “Saudi Arabia’s music scene has been thriving for the past two decades behind closed doors. With every edition of SOUNDSTORM, we further blow these doors wide open. It’s incredibly special to see music lovers enjoy this new reality, in a safe space with the highest standards of music entertainment.” He added, “Talent is at the heart of everything we do at MDLBEAST. As well as bringing superstar global headliners to the Kingdom, it is also essential to us that we center our efforts on showcasing unseen talent from across the region.”
Organizers revealed that this year’s festival will be double the size of the previous edition and will feature a lot more food and beverage offerings, open seating spaces to kick back and socialize as well as parking on site for all ticket holders. With last year’s event having welcomed over 700,000 attendees, this year could potentially hit 1million.
