These 5 Saudi Arabian scientists were listed in Stanford’s esteemed list of “World Top 2% Scientists” which includes the most widely cited scientists across different fields and discourses.
Stanford University is one of the best and leading research and teaching institutions on the globe. It is also one of the largest universities in the United States, with approximately 17,000 students. Other than its prestigious academic standing, Stanford’s specialty programs are engineering and STEM.
The five faculty members come from Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University from different departments including engineering, science, and computer science.
The university’s president reaffirmed the fact that this amazing achievement and recognition comes from the kingdom’s support of its talent, in whatever fields they are.
He states that, “The leadership gives special attention to scientific research as a key pillar of the university’s success and a developmental and community-based necessity to transform universities to serve the development of the knowledge economy, by improving scientific research and its quality and outcomes in order to positively impact the economy and society.”
One of the main objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 is investment in education in order to create a more agile and sustainable academic field in the kingdom. In addition to that, the kingdom is keen on nurturing the Saudi Arabian brains and giving them the tools and resources to pave the way for a great transformation.
Specifically Riyadh’s Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University has been working in parallel to devote their time to create focused curricula and excellent proposals as part of a bigger planned strategy to accomplish the objectives of scientific innovation grounded in monumental research.
