Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated on Sunday that Dr. Hala bint Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, the HRC's president, emphasized Saudi Arabia's most recent achievements and changes in the area of human rights. According to SPA, Al-Tuwaijri emphasized that the developments are a result of the leadership's efforts to uphold the values of justice and equality as well as to preserve and advance human rights.
According to the HRC president, the Kingdom's reforms also seek to improve living conditions, safeguard various societal groups, and give women more authority.
She continued, "Women's empowerment, the advancement of their rights, and the activation of their role in the national economy have been placed at the forefront of Saudi Arabia's reforms.
The most recent advancements have also made sure that the rights of children, the elderly, and people with disabilities are protected. They have also made it possible to combat human trafficking and create a system of specialized legislation. Her comments were made at a meeting in Riyadh with the European Council's Middle East and Gulf Working Group, which was led by Dr. Till Blume, Calin Mitri, and a number of task force representatives.
