On Tuesday, Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir hosted the opening of the largest jewelry and watch exhibition in the Middle East. Bahrain News Agency reported, Jewelry Arabia 2022 will feature exclusive collections from more than 650 luxury jewelers from more than 30 countries. According to organizers, the expo, which is in its 30th year, will include a wide range of interesting events, including a display of fine jewels and a number of pavilions dedicated to particular facets of jewelry and fashion.
For instance, the Pearl Discovery Zone, presented in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones, offers a variety of events in addition to pearl exhibits. It illustrates the shellfish that are found throughout the world, including those in Bahrain, and discusses the distinctions between natural, cultured, and artificial pearls. The forms, shapes, and sizes of natural pearls as well as the traditional diving instruments and equipment used by pearl divers will also be explained to guests. The opportunity to shuck oysters will also be available to visitors.
The Rising Stars pavilion highlights up-and-coming jewelry designers and brands. “The Cartiers: Untold Story of the Family Behind the Jewelry Empire” by Francesca Cartier Brickell, will also be discussed and copies of her book will be signed.
As part of its goal to develop into a major learning platform for jewelry enthusiasts, the organizers of Jewelry Arabia stated the event will also include a variety of creative workshops and other initiatives. For professionals who want to further their careers, Dubai Design Academy will offer a range of courses, from the principles of jewelry design to more complex ones.
Additionally, visitors will have the chance to produce their own scents and learn about the workings of the perfume industry. The show is open until Saturday.
