Last week, the Saudi Fashion Commission hosted a virtual panel with leading industry experts and entrepreneurs to discuss the concept of sustainable fashion.
The event was not a private one, and the public were also invited to tune in on the panel discussion which explored the concept of sustainability and its role in fashion, as well as sustainability strategies and initiatives.

Over the course of the virtual event, the Saudi Fashion Commission conveyed its key goals to support and inspire the fashion community whilst also being able to encourage improvement at each stage of the production process - from design to product sustainability.
The commission is also working on a number of sustainability initiatives such as the second edition of its “GFX Swap Shop Riyadh” and the launch of a new center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology to “innovate sustainable solutions and technologies in textile science.”
Not the last virtual event on the topic, as it comes as part of a series of meetings arranged by the Saudi Fashion Commission to discuss and establish innovative strategies and practices to promote Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning fashion industry.
