On March 15th 2023, the fifth edition of the Gulf Businesswomen Forum will begin, and this year’s slogan is “The Gulf woman: Between empowerment and leadership.” Running for two days, the event will be hosted by the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers is a federation of chambers of commerce and industry among member countries of GCC and is considered among the most important institutional frameworks that support the private sector in GCC countries, where it has been representing Gulf economic interests since its inception in 1979.
The Gulf Businesswomen Forum focuses on the exchange of knowledge and experience among business women while assessing barriers and the proverbial “glass ceiling.” It is an event that offers support to women’s leadership in business and investment. The event calls for the enhancement of communication channels for GCC business women as well as young the young female leaders of the future and to enhance their skills through workshops, training and courses.
Approximately 500 delegates will partake in the meeting, including business owners, representatives of organizations supporting development projects, representatives of national and regional banks will also take part in the forum. The Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers forum aims to support women in the business sector through various channels and will promote women who set high standards in business.
The Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers President Ajlan Al-Ajlan conveyed that the forum “will reflect the economic renaissance taking place in the Gulf Cooperation Council Area and the influential role women are playing in it.” Adding, “The FGCCC aims to provide support, through several channels, to women by finding mechanisms for development and modernization in production and business management.”
