It is no surprise that the fashion and style scene in Saudi Arabia has been witnessing a great acceleration with designers, brands, and events dominating. With that boom, comes the call for opportunities in the industry for talent. Even though there are many entities and businesses that are recruiting, local talents still find the creative fashion industry a hard one to break into.
Here comes the Saudi Style Council, the first council in the kingdom that supports style professionals find paid prospects and positions throughout the region. It aims to be a one-stop resources for these local creatives.
Their mission is to help with the employment process of creatives and local talent to incentivize change, be able to construct long-term prospects for them, and subsequently, showcase all sorts of fashion talents in Saudi Arabia to global platforms. HRH Princess Reema bint Bandar Bin Sultan Al-Saud was actually one of their clients for the Women To Women event in Al Ula.
The Saudi Style Council serves as the home-grown connection for various types of projects, and so a community is created for people to support each other and learn from one another.
They operate under these three main goals: Incubate, Educate, and Highlight. With that manifesto, the council aims to mentor talent they find, create a valuable resource for members to access, and finally celebrate these talents on their social media channels.
As for services they provide, they are mainly centered in providing access to top experts in the creative fashion field, because they harness this community of artists, designers, performers, and more.
The list is quite extensive for their services as they can offer anything from production, crew booking, propping, styling, and on set art direction. They also have consulting services that include concept creation, strategic planning, creative direction, and image consulting. And other technical services such as photo-editing, video-editing, mood board, curation, and digital archiving.
Their portfolio is already quite impressive with big names on their roster such as Carolina Herrera, H&M, Saudi Cup, Founding Day, Bak Chic, Malika Hani and more.
