Hollywood heartthrob, actor and DJ, Idris Elba is expected to headline Dubai’s edition of international techno and house music festival, Elrow XXL this month! The announcement was made earlier this week that the British star, much loved for his role as the BBC’s Luther, will be taking to the decks on 17th February 2023.
The Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Elba is also a DJ and has performed at venues across the world, including Coachella, Sound in Los Angeles and Output in New York. His UK appearances include Ministry of Sound in London, as well as both the Creamfields and Glastonbury festivals.
Elba’s forthcoming appearance at Elrow XXL will mark his debut performance in not just Dubai, but the Middle East. The house and techno music festival will be taking place at Dubai Design District on 17th-18th February 2023. Elrow XXL has previously been hosted in 84 cities across 34 countries, including London, Barcelona, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Madrid, Las Vegas, Antwerp, Frankfurt and New York.
“I love Dubai. And I love playing Elrow shows. I’m looking forward to this one a lot,” Elba said in a released statement. The Hollywood star will be performing at the festival alongside international DJs and artists such as Armand Van Helden, Sam Devine, Sonny Fodera, Alisha, Arielle Free, R3WIRE, Wade and Chelina Manuhutu.
