Nakhati, the first international gelato brand managed by a woman, was introduced this summer by Kerten Hospitality as part of the company's commitment on ESG-based business practices. The Saudi female foodpreneur Eman Fallatah is leading the purpose-driven gelato company Nakhati in Saudi Arabia, which has a flagship location in Riyadh. The franchisable brand intends to grow around the globe under the direction of a local female foodpreneur in each city.
Nakhati not only creates delicious, high-end, artisanal gelato but also encourages entrepreneurship. Nakhati helps the growing number of women in the region who are eager to own their franchise and start their own businesses by providing a full range of high-quality tools designed to promote development and empowerment. Two hundred outlets are expected to be established by 2024.
Fallatah, the driving force behind Nakhati's Riyadh location, has helped other food and beverage ventures and initiatives in Saudi Arabia get off the ground and develop. Additionally, she coaches aspiring chefs and cooks and has experience working as a food stylist for regional and multinational businesses entering the Saudi market. In order to pursue her passion, she quit her day job and is devoted to developing domestic talent, especially among women, and is now a successful culinary entrepreneur. The Saudi-inspired gelato at Nakhati concept shop, is not only founded by women but is also operated by them.
Traditional popular gelato flavors with a Nakhati twist are available, such as organic roast pistachio, mascarpone with local honey and walnuts, and hazelnut with chocolate pieces. Other flavors are drawn from Saudi customs and regions, like the well-known karak tea beverage, traditional desserts from the Najd region, and Taif roses.
Regarding some of the hallmark dishes, they have been working hard to provide some amazing firsts for the area, such hot gelato buns. They also have a beverage program that uses Nakhati's unique recipes and include only on-site production of all items, such as the Vegan Iced Mocha, which is created and packaged using the company's distinctive vegan dark chocolate gelato. Furthermore, Nakhati's 50% reduced fat content goods appeal to consumers who are health-conscious since there is a greater emphasis on a better lifestyle as consumers become more knowledgeable about the quality of products.
Kerten Hospitality's most recent launch is another illustration of the company's strong commitment to environmental, social, and governance values and responsible community-based business practices.
