The NY Tory Burch Show Is Opened By French-Algerian Model Loli Bahia

Loli Bahia, a French-Algerian model, opened the Tory Burch show on Monday during New York Fashion Week wearing a neutral-colored winter ensemble.

The model debuted for the brand's Fall/Winter 2023 collection while donning a camel-colored sweater with a collar and a beige knee-length skirt, which appears to be making a comeback in fashion this season. A pair of black boots finished off her outfit.

Other Arab beauties modeled for the company besides Bahia. Nora Attal, a British model of Moroccan descent, accompanied her on the runway wearing a black jacket, a khaki cut-out shirt with a collar. The stunning outfit was completed with bright green satin pants.

They paraded alongside well-known models Irina Shayk and Emily Ratajkowski. Ratajkowski’s ended the Burch show wearing an all-black outfit. Her ensemble featured a sleeveless corset-style top with flared satin waist, layered atop a stretchy black midi skirt, with fishnet tights and sharp leather pumps for a sultry finish. Shayk, on the other hand, was dressed in a black dress with a white jacket that was adorned with a single bright red button.

The catwalk show played with the idea of perfection by sending out a number of looks that were purposefully in a state of disrepair, such as skirts held together by enormous safety pins, heels that were damaged, and leather accessories with uneven hardware. According to Burch, who spoke to Vogue US, he wanted to subvert the idea of conventional femininity and beauty. He believes that today's women do not desire restrictions.

Along with American actress Lana Condo, American dancer Maddie Ziegler, American actress and YouTuber Claudia Sulewski, and American actress and catwalk sensation Ashley Graham, US-born Somali model Halima Aden occupied the first row. American actress Bella Thorne, British model Suki Waterhouse and British actress Claire Foy were among the other A-list celebrities there.

The Paris-born model Bahia is swiftly rising to the top of the modeling world following a successful spring 2022 fashion month in which she walked in 65 shows. She has since established herself as a catwalk regular. She has walked the runway for several high-end fashion brands, including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino.
