The “Van Cleef & Arpels: Time, Nature, Love” exhibition hosted at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia concluded on April 15th, 2023.
The “Van Cleef & Arpels: Time, Nature, Love” exhibition, created in partnership with the National Museum of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Culture, has officially come to a close. Held from January 19 to April 15, 2023 at The National Museum of Saudi Arabia, the display showcased over 280 jewelry creations, timepieces, and precious objects that spanned the Maison’s history and unique universe from 1906 to the present day. Alongside this curated selection of pieces from the patrimonial collection, more than 90 original archives, including notebooks, sketches and gouache drawings, offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how these creations came into being.

Curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewelry Design at Milan Polytechnic University and President of the Milano Fashion Institute, and conceived by Johanna Grawunder, an international architect-designer who created the immersive scenography, the exhibition was inspired by Italian writer Italo Calvino’s Six Memos for the Next Millennium. Spanning over a century of creative excellence, the three distinct sections of the exhibition –Time, Nature and Love – provided a unique insight into the intricate craftsmanship and artistic vision behind some of the most iconic pieces.
