A homage to the electrifying energy of the early punk, glam, and new wave movements, this vibrant capsule has an inherently daring disposition. Assured silhoue!es, gli!ering decoration, and pops of unapologetic colour: Malone Souliers took the era’s most alluring qualities and transformed them into three standout pairs of shoes.
The primary inspiration for this collection came from Ziggy Stardust, David Bowie’s iconic alter ego, along with his famous Tokyo Pop jumpsuit, designed by the visionary Kansai Yamamoto. Emulating the curved lines of Yamamoto’s creation, rows of crystals accentuate Maureen’s waved silhoue!e this season. Meanwhile, rose PVC and metallic trims further enhance its dazzling reimagining.
Continuing the showstopping theme, the all-new Keaton’s platform and towering block heel play host to a swirl of shimmering embellishments. Finally, Kenny, another debut silhoue!e, is a pink nappa sandal embodying the confident glamour of the late 1970s. Its wrap-around ankle ties and goblet heel balance elegance and dynamism to aplomb.
“As with our main SS23 collection, our Runway offering continues to put fearless self-expression at its centre. The 1970s and ‘80s revolutionised the way we experiment with fashion, and this collection pays tribute to that,” our Founder and Chief Brand Director, Mary Alice Malone says. “Not least, these three styles highlight the fun to be had in dressing up.”
The Malone Souliers SS23 Runway Collection launches on the 3rd of April in our Flagship Boutique at 19 Mount Street, London, and at MaloneSouliers.com.
