Saudi vocalist Dalia Mubarak is embarking on an eagerly awaited venture with her much-anticipated album titled "11:11," set to be launched through the Warner Music MENA label.
The 32-year-old singer, who recently unveiled her album's debut track "Mara Aan Malioun," told Arab News that her new compositions "depict narratives on an intimate level."
Mubarak was recruited by US record company Warner Recorded Music in November 2022 in an effort to represent artists from the rapidly expanding Middle Eastern market.
She combines traditional Khaleeji music from the Gulf region, which uses instruments like the duff drums, oud, mirwas, and tabla, with modern music genres like rhythm and blues.
Among her other chart-topping singles are "Areen Al Ashq," "Beni O Bink," "Damet Ghala," and "Fariq An Alnass."
Mubarak highlighted that the music label granted her the liberty to deliver contemporary tunes, specifically the type of music that resonates with her identity as an artist.
For her song "Mara Aan Malioun," Mubarak joined hands with Kuwaiti artist Daffy, a singer, songwriter, and producer, who infused the melody with a modern R&B touch. The composition was by Ali Al-Matrouk and lyrics by Daffy.
Mubarak expressed that teaming up with the acclaimed Daffy was a remarkable journey as he introduced a fresh musical dimension to the track. It was a thrilling exploration, venturing into a unique musical direction. The camaraderie that the two musicians already shared made their collaboration even more spectacular. The harmony between their imaginative souls transformed the entire procedure into a symphony characterized by smooth melodies and sincere lyrics.
Mubarak claimed that it was impossible to pick a favorite song from her album because each one had left an enduring impression on her and resonated with feelings that were particular to its composition.
