Victorias Secret Store Jeddah
For all you lovers of beautiful lingerie, the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah now has a welcome addition to its list of stores – celebrity favorite Victoria’s Secret, the first branch to open in the city.
With its signature bright pink, candy cane striped storefront and grandiose chandeliers, it’s hard to miss it. Walk in and take in all your favorite VS items, from lingerie, to sleepwear, to makeup and fragrances. The store will also carry the brand’s signature collections including Body by Victoria and Bombshell.
The interior is a dream, with changing rooms that are specious, private, and luxurious. And as with every store, there are plenty of specialists on-hand to offer free fittings, with call buttons so that customers can ask for assistance at any time.
Back in 2014, the brand opened its first two stores in Saudi Arabia also in December, at Granada Center and Kingdom Centre in Riyadh.
The end of 2017 has been filled with other firsts for the renowned brand. Victoria's Secret opened its flagship store in Dublin early December, to a queue of hundreds. And it wrapped its first ever fashion show in China. The show’s star-studded lineup had to be downsized last minute.
According to CNBC, singer Katy Perry, “who was expected to perform, was reportedly denied visa entry for wearing a sunflower-adorned dress while performing in Taiwan back in 2015. The flower is the emblem of the island's anti-China movement.”
Supermodel Gigi Hadid also did not make the show. Reports point to a video made public this year of Hadid apparently squinting her eyes. “The video, perceived as politically insensitive, has since been taken down and Hadid apologized for how it may have been construed.”
The brand also managed another shocking first last year – the most expensive runway fashion show in history, costing a casual $26.7 million.
According to Elle Australia, the show boasted “the world’s sexiest models and coolest musicians, private jet transport to Paris, a $4 million fantasy bra, an outfit dripping in 450,000 Swarovski crystals, 43 pairs of wings and top-notch security, set against the backdrop of Paris’ Grand Palais.”
