Rami Al Ali
Dubai is a creative hub, buzzing with innovation and originality and with this comes a thriving market for the consumption and creation of designer trends and fashion.
Beyond Dubai’s infinitive retail scene full of international brands, is its home-grown talent pool of emerging designers taking over the global fashion scene. Fashion in the region isn’t just about rocking a rare Hermes Kelly bag, nor is it about wearing a head to toe look formed of high-end brands – it’s certainly much more than that in recent years.
From creating luxurious accessories seen regularly on the red carpets of Hollywood, to collaborations with Topshop, the UAE’s eagle eyed designers prove that true style goes beyond a designer label and these local designers have us reaching for our purses.
Nathalie Trad
After having cut her teeth at Proenza Schouler following her graduation from the Parsons School of Design in New York, Nathalie Trad used her design expertise to forge her unique signature style which is still so prominent in every one of her collections.
Mostly recognized for her range of stunning clutches, each one of her collections contains leather bags, shell clutch bags and necklaces, punctuated with geometric structure and contrasting textures and patterns, much recently followed by a footwear collaboration with shoe designer, Rupert Sanderson.
House Of Nomad
The brainchild of two creative individuals, Ahmed El-Sayed and Saleh Al-Banna, House of Nomad is a Dubai based fashion brand.
The regional designers based their eponymous label on the life of a Nomad; a wanderer with no geographic boundaries, moving from one temporary dwelling to another, constantly.
Going by it’s name, the Nomadic lifestyle is ever present in every collection with their clean lines and most recently, use of the Arabic language on their garments, bringing the brand back to it’s roots.

All Things Mochi
Ayah Tabari is a traveler in the truest sense of the word; each one of her collections is inspired by her travels to countries in South America, Far East Asia and other culture-rich destinations.
With her office based in Dubai’s effervescent Design District, Tabari’s brand was created to support the local female artisans of the countries she draws inspiration from. Ayah and her team travel to various destinations and familiarize themselves with the cultures and traditions in order to design a collection that represents its origins in the best way whilst assisting the artisans by creating jobs and opportunities for work for the women in hopes that it will contribute to their standard of living and ultimate financial freedom. We love All Thing Mochi’s ethics and true sense of girl power!
REEMAMI
Award-winning UAE designer, Reema Al Banna launched her eponymous label in 2009 and was the first to set up a contemporary label of its kind.
Since then, REEMAMI has established itself and is recognized for it’s architectural and experimental cuts and hand illustrated graphic patterns, which catch the eye of a bold and inspirational woman.
Having built her enterprise from the ground up, Reema continues to create fearless and quirky pieces and having been seen on the likes of Queen Rania of Jordan, REEMAMI maintains its title as one of the most exciting labels to have emerged from the Middle East.
