Christian Louboutin celebrates the 5th edition of the Nudes Collection
Christian Louboutin has released the fifth edition of its “Nudes” collection. The French fashion house made shoe history when the first collection that matches women’s skin tones to flatter and elongate their legs hit stores back in 2013. Surely enough, it has proven to be one of Christian Louboutin’s most popular collections, spurring the maison to take it up a notch for the fifth anniversary. They have introduced a brand new style, the “Degrastrass PVC.”
Exclusively available at the Christian Louboutin boutique in the Fashion Dome of Mall of the Emirates, the collection includes seven nude shades that cover a spectrum of complexions, ranging from fair to dark. The style features clear PVC that is sprinkled with hand-applied strass, which appears in a gradation. The glimmering strass, tinted to match the nude hues, and the beautifully light-reflecting Cinderella-esque glassy upper certainly make a magical combination.
Celebrating With Seven Diverse Women from the UAE
To celebrate, the brand, which is instantly recognisable by its signature shiny, red lacquered sole, curated a photo exhibit of seven inspiring women based in the UAE. The recent seven-day exhibit, which is in line with the #MOEUnfiltered spring/summer 2018 campaign, took place near the Christian Louboutin boutique in Mall of the Emirates. It featured each one of the diverse women wearing a different shade of nude.
While they are champions in their own industries and cement their personal styles in the series, by coming together, ‘the women embody the strength of unifying towards a common goal of progress,” according to the brand. They also show nothing is more fashionable than being yourself.
