OF AN ADULT'S REFERENCE INTAKE
Ingredients
- 1 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup yogurt
- 30g corn oil
- 20g yeast
- 1&1/2 cup warm water
- 1 cup crushed coconut
- some flour
- 1 oz fried almond (to garnish)
- 1/2 oz peanut (crushed) to garnish
- 3 cup sugar (for the syrup)
- 2cup water (for the syrup)
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cup semolina
Method
- Mix the ghee, semolina and the crushed coconut in a bowl, add yogurt and half the warm water. Leave the mix aside for 2 hours
- Add the yeast and the other half of the warm water little by little and mix well with your fingers.
- Bing a tray about 50 cm in diameter; spread some flour on its surface then spread the mix you have. Bake in a heated oven at 250 ° C
- Pour on top the syrup which you prepared by boiling the water, sugar and lemon juice. Leave to cool. Garnish the Basbousa you have with fried almond and crushed peanut.
