Z: The Beginning of Everything is a depiction of the life of Zelda Fitzgerald – the wife of the author of “The Great Gatsby,” F. Scott Fitzgerald. The story explores their relationship, but is also about Zelda’s character and who she truly was: a fiercely independent woman in a sexist world. Not only was Zelda rumored to be the talented writer behind her husband’s novels, as he was accused of having stolen her work and published it under his own name, but she was also the “original flapper” and icon of the wild and flamboyant Jazz Age.
