The images show women using wooden triangular shaped baskets whilst the men cast five metre nets out in a wide circle. After long hours of collaborative fishing, the villagers divvy up the fish and sell them at the local market. Sometimes it's the documentation of the simplest activities that life can offer that bring a smile to our face.
Graphic designer and photographer Saurabh Sirohiya captured these amazing shots in Garbeta in the Medinipur district in West Bengal, India The 35-year-old from Kolkata city, in India, said: "These images show the different fishing techniques being used by men and women and show a lovely pattern and panoramic view of the river. Both methods are essential and they catch an almost equal amount of fish."
