Here Are Some Of The Saudi Women Who Will Be Speaking at The Women Power Summit

Are you ready to enhance your leadership skills at the Saudi-based platform that connects and empowers women from all over the world?

The third annual Women Power Summit, taking place on 15 and 16 November, will be a virtual affair this year. The first ever Women Digital Festival, described as the largest women empowerment event in the MENA region, will include a wide range of sessions focusing on three main pillars: Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Featuring a one-day learning event, networking sessions, roundtable discussions, interactive workshops and much more, it is set to be one of the year’s most anticipated events.

And of course, one of the things we look forward to the most is learning from the amazing, inspirational speakers. While there will be over 50 trailblazing women lending their voices to the summit, which you can register to on this link, here’s a focus on some of the leading Saudi ladies speaking.

Danya Alhamrani

In 2006, Danya Alhamrani and her business partner, Dania Nassief, became the first women in Saudi Arabia to own and manage a production company. The filmmaker is the Co-Founder of Eggdancer Productions, an independent film production company. Jeddah-based Alhamrani’s most recent project, titled “Rise,” is a feature-length documentary that puts pioneering Saudi women in the spotlight. The film is an insight into the Kingdom’s changing social landscape and focuses on the stories of its most influential women during the past 50 years.

Raha Moharrak

In 2013, athlete and adventurer Raha Moharrak became the youngest Arab and the first Saudi woman to conquer Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain. An inspiration for the next generation of female thrill-seekers everywhere, Moharrak, who is originally from the Hijaz region, has climbed nine of the world’s most famous summits, including the highest peak in each continent like Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro and Mount Vinson in Antarctica. The Dubai-based graphic designer, who chose to specialise in Women’s Leadership for her MBA at Synergy University Dubai, was undoubtedly raised by her parents to dream big.

Noor Marzoky

Noor Marzoky is CEO of Workshop X, which she founded in 2017. Her first company is now considered as one of the top workshop providers in Saudi Arabia. Marzoky has brought a wealth of knowledge to the local market while facilitating creative enrichment and skill enhancement through the workshops. Some of the latest include Fashion Product Development, Destination Branding Online and Logo Matchmaking. The creative hub in Jeddah is also a warm and friendly co-working space for young entrepreneurs establishing their businesses.

Leena Alsulaiman

Middle Eastern-raised Leena Alsulaiman is working towards empowering women all over the world, as well as giving them a voice, through their wardrobes. The Saudi-American brand strategist and fashion stylist founded her platform Leena Alsulaiman Creative Consultancy after she was furloughed during the pandemic. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alsulaiman offers several services like Closet Audits, Wardrobe Creations, Outfit Curations and Bespoke Styling Services. The trend-savvy entrepreneur is inspired by “conscious fashion, everyday luxury, and women from all walks of life.” She loves timeless and sustainable pieces and ensures her customers feel comfortable and confident as they walk out the door.

Nouf Hakeem

Nouf Hakeem is a humanistic speaker and teacher in the fields of creative response therapy, grief recovery, self-development and self-awareness. Clients can benefit from her work whether they are in Jeddah, Dubai or other cities in the region through her various online platforms, regular workshops and events. A serial entrepreneur since the age of 21, Nouf has established other successful businesses in things she is passionate about like fashion, interior furnishings, job networking platforms and online education. A believer in living life by instinct, she loves learning, teaching and nurturing creativity in herself and others.

Mawadah Muhtasib

Visual arrtist Mawadah Muhtasib is known for creating her own Arabic reversed calligraphy typeface. The Jeddah native came up with a mix of calligraffiti painting and mirrored Arabic characters that focus on the aesthetic of the strokes of the Arabic letters and form. Muhtasib has exhibited her work internationally, including spots like Kuala Lumpur, Salvador de Bahia, New York and Detroit. Work by the BA in Motion Graphic Design holder (Dar Al Hekma University) has also been displayed at the United Nations International Bazaar

while she was doing her art residency in New York. Muhtasib, who explored with a variety of mediums, including film, illustration, graffiti and painting when she was younger, is also part of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture collection. Plus, she was involved with the creation of the longest graffiti scroll, which earned a Guinness World record in 2014.

Marriam Mossalli

Marriam Mossalli started her career as a journalist and features editor, writing for international and local titles like “Harper’s Bazaar Arabia,” “Marie Claire Arabia” and “Arab News.” She went on to establish Niche Arabia, which coincidentally happens to be involved with the amazing Women Digital Festival. The company she established in 2011 has grown into the Kingdom’s leading luxury consultancy agency. As well as being a principal voice in the luxury consultancy field, the George Washington University graduate is behind both editions of “Under the Abaya,” the street-style books that have has received global recognition and interest. Most recently, the go-getter launched the Saudi Style Council. The non-profit trade association aims to applaud and boost the Kingdom’s blooming creative sector and help creatives by providing resources, including contacts.
