Netsu, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira

Netsu is a highly acclaimed Japanese steakhouse by Chef Ross Shonhan and is renowned for Japanese dishes made in the traditional technique known as, Warayaki, straw fire cooking, making it the world’s hottest grill in a restaurant.

The statement piece is the huge Warayaki grill right in the centre of the restaurant with flames that burn at 900°C and shoot two metres into the air. On any given visit, it would be rude not to indulge in a Warayaki-style steak. 

Kinoya, The Greens

Kinoya is the newest Japanese joint in town and its near enough impossible to get a reservation… Now open in The Greens, Kinoya comes from chef Neha Mishra who started out with supper clubs, and is well-known for her ramen. Kinoya is her first restaurant.
