Madame Tussauds is an international establishment with its waxwork museums all over the world, from New York and London to Hong Kong.
The very first one to open in the Middle East will be in Dubai later this year, but there are talks of a Madame Tussauds to open in Saudi Arabia rather soon too - fingers crossed!
To open a branch of the infamous wax museum in Dubai had first been an idea explored in 2008, when the city was seeing large numbers of tourists visiting year on year.
Located in Dubai’s Bluewaters Island, the museum is rumored to feature around 60 world famous personalities, with 16 of them being from the Arab region. We can expect to see the likes of Cara Delevingne, Kylie Jenner and a host of Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan. There is little information about which Arab celebrities and people of importance will be immortalized into lifelike wax figures, apart from pop stars, Nancy Ajram and Maya Diab.
