Meet These 3 Brilliant Saudi Female Board Members

Diversity matters. We hear it time and again, and nowhere does it ring truer than in the board room. Numerous studies have shown that a diverse board can have a strong, positive impact on an organization’s success and add to its bottom line, and companies with female members and women directors fare much better than their counterparts, according to reports by Harvard Business Review, McKinsey & Company, European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), and many more. In the region, this gender diversity sentiment is growing, with more and more women now present on boards and in leadership roles. In Saudi Arabia, there has been a wave of trailblazers over the past few years, and here are three who should be on your radar:

Khlood Aldukheil

In July 2020, the Saudi Arabian Society of the world-renowned Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) announced three female board members, one of them was Khlood Aldukheil, a woman with an impressive 20-year career that spans various roles and organizations in financial advisory and investment banking. Amongst the key roles she has undertaken is Managing Director of Aldukheil Financial Group (AFG), the President of the National Committee for Statistics under the Council of Chambers, the Audit Committee Chairperson for Saudi Orix a Financing Company, a Board Member of SimaRating, a Financial Advisory Committee at the Chamber of Commerce, and first Saudi woman to represent a Member at the Saudi Stock Exchange Tadawul.
