People, organizations, NGOs, businesses, and monuments all embrace the color pink every October to support the October rose campaign, which aims to prevent breast cancer and raise awareness of its early detection.

Numerous activities are being undertaken in Dubai to support early detection and improve the odds of survival for all the women we care about most. These initiatives include raising funds and awareness, encouraging self-examinations, advancing research, and boosting clinical trials.

Here are several ways to participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Dubai, get support, or access medical information.

Majlis Al Amal

This first-of-its-kind cancer drop-in community center called Majlis Al Amal is dedicated to the welfare of female cancer patients. Cancer patients and their loved ones can improve their emotional health in a supportive setting at the Center, which is housed on the ground floor of the Al Jalila Foundation. The Center is managed by volunteers, and there are several possibilities for members of the public to provide their skills and time to help cancer fighters. IGNITE Pink is Punk 2022

Pink is Punk, an Ignite initiative, is back to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This unique organization is 100% non-profit and has chosen the Al Jalila Foundation as its donation recipient. In order to promote treatment and research, IGNITE has planned three distinct events throughout the month of October. Events include, IGNITE Pink Swim:Run – October 8th, IGNITE Pink Full Moon Yoga – October 10th, IGNITE Pink Paddle – October 29th.

Brest Friends

The first female surgeon in the UAE founded Brest Friends in 2005, and in 2015 the organization joined with the Al Jalila Foundation. Their objective is to save lives by raising awareness, providing more information, funding for research, and providing financial help to breast cancer patients. Women can share their stories and offer one another moral and emotional support in this clinic staffed only by women for all women’s healthcare needs. Pink Caravan

The Pink Caravan began in 2011, and since then, it has accomplished a great deal. Besides planning activities and events to increase awareness, this caravan also teaches and offers medical information. The Pink Caravan will provide free screenings all around the Emirate during the month-long breast cancer awareness campaign in Dubai. All women are welcome to visit any of their pop-ups for a checkup, information, or support throughout the month. To view all the locations and times offered, visit their website.
