Emirati Women’s Day on August 28th marks UAE's pride and the founding of the General Women’s Union in 1975. Initiated by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in 2015, it lauds diverse Emirati women's contributions. This year's theme, "We Collaborate for Tomorrow," aligns with the "Year of Sustainability," honoring barrier-breaking women who inspire future generations. Her debut Young Adult novel "Tofan" is a recent achievement.

Mariam Al Mansouri

Al Mansouri, among the initial women in the UAE airforce, now operates as an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter pilot. Mariam's ambition was hindered by gender barriers, so after completing her studies, she worked with the General Command until the academy admitted women.
