Shawarma Fatteh
OF AN ADULT'S REFERENCE INTAKE
Ingredients
- 2 sliced chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 large potato (sliced into circles and fried)
- 1 cup shredded and toasted bread
For the sauce:
- 1 cloves mashed garlic
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons yogurt
For decoration:
- 1 cup (toasted) almonds
- ½ cup sliced pickled cucumber
Method
- Marinate chicken breasts in white vinegar for an hour minimum
- Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan then add the chicken slices
- Stir until it becomes white in color
- Stir chicken with salt, black pepper, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano
- Add lemon zest, stir chicken
- Turn off heat, and put the chicken aside
- To prepare the sauce: mix garlic, mayonnaise, and yogurt
- Place the fried potato rings, chicken, sauce, and toasted bread in this order
- Sprinkle with roasted almonds and pickled cucumbers
- Serve immediately
