Zoë Kravitz
Since most of the stars dressed in black during the recent 75th Annual Golden Globes to support the #Time's Up movement, make-up and hair played more of a role in helping Hollywood’s biggest names stand out among the crowd. And Zoë Kravitz’s beauty look was a clear favourite at the Beverly Hilton.
Edgy, fearless and gorgeous to boot, Kravitz, Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonnet’s daughter, is not one to shy away from making a statement. The 29-year-old “Big Little Lies” actress complemented her velvet Saint Laurent gown featuring a column silhouette with hair and make-up that had an Audrey Hepburn vibe. Along with the star’s signature pixie cut, styled by Nikki Nelms, those natural freckles and perfectly shaped brows, celeb make-up artist Lisa Storey went about creating some stunning make-up for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. The bold lip, subtle cat-eye flick, lashings of mascara and bronzy glow were perfect for helping Kravitz, an Yves Saint Laurent Beauty ambassador, celebrate with the rest of the “Big Little Lies” cast for winning Best Mini Series or TV Film.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to get the look:
Skin
Storey kept Kravitz’s skin fresh, radiant and minimal using Touche Éclat foundation (BD50) and adding some more Touche Éclat in B70 to top things off.
Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones Palette
Eyes
To create a classic winged cat eye, Storey used Effet Faux Cils Shocking eyeliner in #1. Next, she applied on some “Full Metal” eyeshadow (#17), a bronze gold cream shadow, across the lid. The LA-based make-up artist then continued to frame the entire eye by contouring at the corners of the eye with “Full Metal” eyeshadow in #11. Lastly, to help the eyeliner stand out more, Storey applied a few individual lashes on top and Volume Effet Faux Cils mascara to the bottom lashes.
The Shock Mascara
Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in #12
Lips
To create Kravitz’s standout lips, Storey swiped on Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in #12, a red with more of an orange undertone, with a brush. She then blotted and softened the line.
Cheeks
Storey chose Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones in #2 to contour the cheeks. She then brushed on some Blush Volupté (#8) blush and highlighter. For the final touch, the make-up maestro dabbed the brush above the brows for extra radiance.
